U.S. shares rise as Fed moves to delay bond-buying

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose more than 2,000 points, or 0.1%, to 17,845.19, the S&P 500 gained more than 1,000, or 1.4%, to 2,891.71 and the Nasdaq Composite gained more that 3,200 points, the NasDAQ said.

The Dow Jones gained more from the Fed’s announcement of a delay in buying bonds on Tuesday, while the S & P 500 gained 1.7%, the S .SPLRCT .SPX gained 0.4% and the Dow advanced 1.3%.
